Bible Study-1st Corinthians

Please join us in our study of St Paul’s 1st Letter to the Corinthians. Nearly 5 years after founding the Church in Corinth, Paul was informed of brewing crises concerning internal divisions, immorality, multiplying lawsuits among church members, outspoken denials of the Resurrection, inappropriate conduct during Eucharistic celebrations, improper exercise of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and questions about marriage and celibacy to name a few. Join us as we examine how St Paul addressed these issues and, moreover, how they might apply today.

The 8 sessions will be via Zoom, Wednesday evenings 7-8:30pm or Thursdays at Noon beginning April 5/6 and ending May 24/25. If you plan on attending, please contact Rick Halsted via email at [email protected] or the parish office at 334-3518 to reserve a spot and be on the email list to receive weekly course materials. We will be using the Ignatius Catholic Bible Study volume, “The 1st and 2nd Letters of St Paul to the Corinthians” as our text. It can be ordered on line or by contacting the parish office.
