Pope Francis in “The Joy of the Gospel” shares this wonderful advice on how to attract people to Christ: “Christians have the duty to proclaim the Gospel without excluding anyone. Instead of seeming to impose new obligations, they should appear as people who want to share their joy, who point to a horizon of beauty and who invite others to a delicious banquet. It is not by proselytizing that the Church grows but ‘by attraction’.”
Discovering Christ asks us to invite everyone just as the Pope advises . . . those who seem closer to us, more receptive, more welcoming as well as those who seem farthest away and most indifferent.
After each mass this past weekend, Eric Michaloski gave a heartfelt testimony to the soul changing power of Discovering Christ in his life. He gave a personal invitation to all to attend Discovering Christ.
Bring a friend or neighbor! For people who know nothing of Jesus it will be a great introduction. For people who already know Jesus, it will help develop a closer, more personal relationship with Him.
Each Thursday from February 1st through March 15th we will gather at Guardian Angels at 6pm. Each evening will begin with a shared meal, followed by a short prayer, video teaching and opportunity for small group discussion. The session will end by 8:30pm.
