Mass Time Change

As we prepare to return to Masses at our Guardian Angels Worship Site, likely in mid-October, we anticipate a change in Mass times.  As you know, we changed times in June 2020 when we returned to in-person Masses after a three-month hiatus due to Covid.

Prior to Covid we were beginning to look at whether our parish needed four (4) Masses on the weekend.  That question has now resurfaced and both staff and Pastoral Council have agreed that three (3) Masses are sufficient to accommodate our needs.  At present we have about 340-380 people attending on the weekends and before Covid we averaged about 750 attending.  In addition, we have only one priest and four Masses are a lot on the weekend.

Another consideration in this change will be the time needed for our Sunday morning Faith Formation program.  Parents will need time to attend Mass with their children either before or after their class and we need to allow time for that in our scheduling as well as travel time between St. Joseph’s and Guardian Angels worship sites, if needed.

MASS TIMES SURVEY

Please rank the following Mass times according to the ones you/your family would most likely attend. Rank EACH MASS TIME based on a scale of 1 thru 6 with 1 being the most likely and 6 being the least likely. This will help us to determine our new Mass times, so we need as many of our parishioners as possible to participate in this survey.
